By accessing or using EventStarted, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have legal parental consent to use EventStarted.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and you may not use another person's account without permission.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use EventStarted only for lawful purposes, including:

• Creating and managing events
• Sending invitations
• Managing RSVPs and ticketed events

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for fraudulent or illegal activities
• Abuse or exploit the platform
• Interfere with system security or functionality
• Upload harmful or malicious content

4. Events, RSVPs, and Tickets

Event creators are responsible for the accuracy of event details. EventStarted is not responsible for event cancellations, disputes, or attendance issues.

Payments for paid events are processed by third-party payment providers. Refunds, if any, are subject to the event creator's policies.

5. Fees and Payments

Some features may require payment. Fees are displayed before checkout. EventStarted does not store your payment card details.

Ticket Purchase Fees

When purchasing tickets or making payments for paid events, a 2% platform fee is added to the base ticket price. This fee is charged to the guest (ticket purchaser), not the event organizer.

The platform fee covers payment processing, platform maintenance, customer support, and service costs. The exact fee amount will be clearly displayed before you complete your payment.

Organizer Payouts

• Event organizers receive 100% of the base ticket price from all ticket sales.
• Payouts are processed after the event or upon request, subject to minimum balance requirements.
• Payouts are transferred to the bank account you have registered with EventStarted.
• Processing times may vary depending on your bank and region (typically 3-5 business days).
• EventStarted is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers or financial institutions.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and software on EventStarted are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (including event details, images, and text). By submitting content, you grant EventStarted a license to use it solely to operate and promote the Service.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep EventStarted available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• EventStarted is provided "as is".
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of EventStarted after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
